در این ماشین ها گلوله های فولادی (شات شات) پس از ورود به توربین های گریز از مرکز دستگاه شتاب گرفته و روی سطح قطعه پاشیده می شود که در اثر این برخوردهای پرسرعت و متوالی گلوله، عملیات تیراندازی در این دستگاه ها انجام می شود. شات بلاست معمولا در کارهای صنعتی و قطعات پرحجم و همچنین در سطوح مسطح بزرگ مانند بدنه کشتی و کف سالن و در موارد معدودی در کارهای تزئینی – آثار باستانی و قاب بندی استفاده می شود.
